What vendors does the LHRIC deal with?
We are currently supporting, NCS Learn's SuccessMaker, CompassLearning
Tomorrow's Promise and Electronic Education's Waterford Early Program.
Are many schools in this area using Comprehensive Courseware?
The Lower Hudson Regional Information Center currently supports over
80 sites using Comprehensive Courseware in Rockland, Westchester and
Putnam counties.
What value will the LHRIC add to our Comprehensive Courseware investment?
The LHRIC will use its years of experience with Comprehensive Courseware
to help you achieve your educational goals. We provide a range of

What types of student data does Comprehensive Courseware collect?
This varies from product to product, but in general, time on task,
specific skill performance scores, areas of difficulty and skills
mastered are covered by each of the programs we support. Some Comprehensive

Isn't Comprehensive Courseware all that old "Drill and Kill" software?
Comprehensive Courseware is designed to address different learning
styles, the packages the LHIRC currently supports address multiple
learning styles, including open-ended activities, writing exercises,
art based activities as well as drill and practice models
Is Comprehensive Courseware aligned to the New York State standards?
Yes, Comprehensive Courseware curriculum content is designed to support
national and state educational standards, as defined by the National
Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the International Reading
Association (IRA), the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE),
and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). Comprehensive
courses align closely with most national and New York State standardized
tests, the Terra Nova Tests, and the TONYS among others..
