NOVA scienceNOW
- ScienceNOW series covers timely developments in Science and
Technology. Multiple stories are presented in magazine format. An
archive of videos can be accessed from the site. One of the January
9 PBS segments of ScienceNOW is an exploration of ancient Maya
ruins of San Bartolo, Guatamala. They were found using a technique
pioneered by NASA scientists to discover ancient ruins buried within
jungle using satellite imagery.

online interactive 2,000-year-old mural, one of the greatest
discoveries of ancient Maya art ever found.

After studying the ancient Maya, students can email questions
to expert archeologists who will answer viewer questions about
the San Bartolo mural during the program.
