Van Gogh Museum - The online companion site of this museum is innovative in its presentation of a virutal, 3-dimensional tour of its most important halls. Register, download a plug in for access. Zoom in on the detail of any painting, "walk" anywhere within the gallery, and "step" into a simulation of two of Van Gogh's works.

Classroom Integration

• Enter a painting - The Yellow House and The Bedroom paintings (both located in room #4) are modeled in 3D, allowing you to go inside the painting and explore. The paintings have "hotspot" areas called Insights that display additional information about the painting.
  
  
• Use the Electronic Whiteboard for a class investigative experience. Zoom in to the smallest details. Have students use the pens to highlight such details as the structure of the paintings, the brush and color strokes. Students adapt these techniques to create their own paintings.
