The Generation YES program provides schools with the necessary curriculum in setting up a student technology program that will provide ongoing technology support to teachers & administrators in their schools. Students work along side a trained Gen Yes teacher in completing a technology project but more importantly learn the skills needed to lead a project from start to finish.

About Generation Y
Students learn technology skills with an emphasis on applying these skills to a real-world problem: helping teachers use technology to deliver more effective lessons.
Students use tools such as:

  • email
  • presentations
  • Internet & digital imagery

to enhance lesson plans and curriculum units.

Research-Based*
Generation YES programs are based on nine years of research showing:

  • The transformative role of technology to improve student achievement.
  • The effectiveness of peer interaction.
  • The relevance of authentic assessment.
  • Ways to encourage gender equity in the classroom.
  • The power of student voice is school reform.
  • The impact on student lives of personally meaningful project-based learning.

*Meets ISTE NETS standards for students.
