| The LHRIC offers to the school districts
participating in our Internet services, regional filtering.
The Internet is a wonderful tool for education. Unfortunately,
students too often encounter Internet content that distracts
from learning rather than enriching it. Sites promoting
pornography, hate, violence, and criminal behavior are
now pervasive on the Web. As a result, Internet filtering
has become a necessity for schools. |

 |
| The BOCES Southern Westchester Intellipath
service is designed to provide participating school districts
with a more cost effective and efficient network for voice
communications. This is accomplished by establishing interconnections
and calling patterns between individual school districts
and BOCES. Through a partnership with Verizon utilizing
their Intellipath service our participating districts
are sharing one phone system. |
