Service contracts for Dell Computer Systems

The annual LHRIC maintenance contract goes into effect when the manufacturer's warranty expires.

  • The annual BOCES maintenance contract goes into effect when the manufacturer's warranty expires. Only Dell Desktop Systems that have been maintained by BOCES during the manufacturer's warranty are eligible for BOCES contract repair service. The contract covers parts and labor on all OEM components including system board, CPU, RAM, hard drive, floppy drive, power supply, CD ROM drive, modem, sound card, mouse, keyboard and monitor.

  • Specialty or add on components (any component not installed by the manufacturer) such as tape back up units, zip drives, video capture cards, any peripheral device connected to the computer, and printers are excluded. These excluded products and peripherals are repaired under our billable service policies.

  • When your district retires equipment, is it essential that a detailed inventory list be submitted to your BOCES Regional Coordinator. The list must specify the serial number of all equipment to be removed from the inventory database. This retired equipment will then not be included in future repair contracts.
