Hastings School District Signs Up for Remote Assistance Service

Live Remote Support Service

The LHRIC has invested in technologies that allow us to provide a remote support service. Districts will have an opportunity to increase their satisfaction with faster response and resolution to their technology problems while lowering the total cost for support.

The LHRIC Remote Live Support is an initiative that will allow technicians located at the Regional Information Center to assist the current support staff in your district with responding to and resolving technical issues within your district from a remote perspective.

With this initiative we will be able to respond to and begin repair much more rapidly then sending your local support technician to your desk. Not all technical issues will be able to be resolved remotely. In these cases we will dispatch the local technician to assist you.

This service of the Network Support group allows technology support engineers to immediately begin repair on consortium member workstations from anywhere on the Internet. They will diagnose and repair problems while users remain logged in and continue working.

This new offering has the possibility of offsetting the high cost of laborious desk side support by supplying the consortium the ability to share a pool of technicians rendering support remotely.

Districts can also purchase licenses for their in-district technicians and increase the ratio.
